I survived recovering and re-upholstering my interior. I covered up the seat anchors for the third seat. My console/deposit box was rough. Tray (underneath) is ok but the top looks like an elephant sat on it for a few years. What are my options? Has anyone come up with a creative alternative? Looking forward to ideas/suggestions, or simply links to recover options.

If you ever have Porsche swap meets around you, look there.
I have found several of them over the years for dirt cheap. Zach |

I wish...you guys on the coasts have the swaps. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)
Was wondering if anyone had come up with an alternative. From the factory it doubled as a seat. Now it is just a cover, or an arm rest. |

When I hear deposit box.. I’m thinking the small and simple under dash console that sits forward of the shifter. Those do not double as seats though. So, are you talking about yhe upholstered cushion between the two seats? There were some with a thin plastic ‘holder’ tray - which the cushion just sat in (doubled as a spot for change, etc. Then later there was the same thing but with a slightly more robust wooden ‘holder’ bottom part. I have seen aftermarket pieces that look more of a console/seat combo.

Is Morph still around? I bought a couple of deposit boxes over the years from him.

Yes I have the plastic tray (decent shape) and the cushion that sits in it (not so good shape). My cushion is torqued, and there are a couple blemishes that I would like to fix. Cup holder would be a nice addition too. |

.. What are my options?.. If that cushion is crushed beyond being able to just reupholster that pad - then put out a WTB add on a 'stock center cushion' in good condition. Don't mention deposit box in your add, it's a different item than what you're talking about. Good luck. |

The drinkster fits perfectly and has cup holders.
https://www.jbugs.com/product/BD-Drinkster.html I chose Madrid black and moved the hinge from the side to the back. Use the stock one to figure out where to drill the mounting holes |

When we texted
I was also thinking of the deposit box that goes under the dash (center console area) You may have been talking about the center arm rest Which should be around used |
